Comfortable and cozy older house.

The home was lovely and had a cozy atmosphere. There were a few hiccups. We informed the host that we would have an 8th person, requiring use of the sofa bed, although there were no linens available other than a comforter. The wine glasses were dirty. It would be nice to have the basics like olive oil, vinegar, soy sauce etc. The pantry had random items that I think previous guests left behind. The outdoor table and chairs required extensive cleaning including removal of bird poop from two chairs before they could be used. Lastly the handle on the back door is broken and the door wouldn’t open. We used the front door. Positives, the hosts were responsive to each email I sent. The house is layed out really well. There is a ten person table in a beautifully lit room that we enjoyed family meals in. The house is set in off the road quite a bit which is really nice. Overall a nice place to stay, a few details to attend to.

This was an amazing experience on its own. We were there for my 2 year old’s birthday celebration. Our main goal was enjoying the train town there in Sonoma, but actually my kid ended up enjoying the house stay as much as he loved the the train town. We had 2 of his cousins with us and they couldn’t stop praising the house and the kids amenities provided.
All the rooms and showers were perfect. Super clean. All of us elders and kids had an amazing time at the house.

The home and property exceeded our expectations. It is spacious for 4 adults, has high ceilings and lots of windows. The kitchen is a chef's dream with EVERYTHING you need to cook, picnic, etc. and the quality of the items was very good. There is also a separate coffee bar in the great room with additional glasses, dishwasher, wine frig, etc. The property is stunning with koi pond off the lower level surrounded by garden flowers and a fountain. Loads of outdoor seating on upper and lower deck areas and the view from the home is gorgeous! The hostesses were very responsive, left us a bottle of wine with hand written note and freshly ground coffee from the local organic coffee shop. Super comfy king beds with down pillows and comforter. Lots of little touches and extras provided; I have never stayed at an Airbnb more equipped. The home is on a narrow country road but you can walk on the shoulder just a mile or so into Forestville for bakery, coffee, etc. We would definitely stay again!

The lush landscape, punctuated by a charming koi pond, immediately set the tone for a serene and rejuvenating stay. The kids were particularly enamored with the Koi pond, spending hours feeding and watching the fish. From the moment we inquired about booking the property, they were prompt and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was seamless and stress free.

What an amazing week! Elizabeth and Gayle's home is special and we felt blessed they let us spend time in this peaceful haven. The view off the back deck is nothing short of spectacular! My friends and I spent every minute we could enjoying the comfortable furniture and views.

The main focus of our trip was wine tasting and we couldn't have found a better place...so many wineries were within mere minutes of our door. They had great suggestions for places to eat, wineries to visit and things to do. Make sure you go to Armstrong Redwoods!

The house was impeccably clean and they supplied every amenity...thick towels, hair dryers, shampoo, etc. along with comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen had every tool and appliance along with a great selection of spices.

Now we're just trying to figure it out when we can come back...sooner rather than later!

This home was very spacious for our family of 8. Has a good selection of board games and puzzles for you to enjoy. Home was very clean. The view was awesome for a quick R&R getaway. Also very convenient to walk to the beach. We enjoyed our weekend and would come back again.

the place is so beautiful we didn't want to leave. it had everything we could need plus much more. we can't wait to come back!

We have stayed at many vacation rentals in the United States and Europe and this was probably the best. Everything was outstanding. The house was very well equipped in every regard and very clean. The owner's manual for the house was thoughtfully prepared and very helpful. The 300 degree view of many of the most important geographical sights in Sonoma County was wonderful. We would recommend this rental without reservation.

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The house had all the amenities. Even the ones you can’t think of. We had other activities planned but the house and the surroundings were so pretty we ended up staying more indoors.
The hosts were very polite and responsive and overall indeed a 5 star stay.

The home was very clean and well maintained. The views were breathtaking from every room. Everything was smooth and our family enjoyed their stay. I look forward to coming back again soon!

We had an amazing stay in Alex's beautiful home. The home itself, location, and all around experience far exceeded any expectations we could have had. We hope to return again very soon.

Alex was a wonderful host, very friendly and responsive when I had any logistical questions leading up to and during our stay, which was really appreciated.

He also made the check-in and check-out process super easy and straightforward, it was a breeze, and allowed us to make the most of our stay with minimal overhead.

Beautiful, well-equipped home. Seriously one of the best places i have stayed .. a true gem.

We really enjoyed our stay. This home has the most amazing beach and ocean views from every room! The hot tub worked well and was a great amenity!

Just a few things to note, the grill was not cleaned prior to our stay, so my husband spent quite some time cleaning off burnt meat and sauce, which was a disappointing way to start our first dinner at the house.

The property manager Lesley was very nice and we appreciated how her and home owner Alex responded quickly regarding the empty home propane tank.

We brought our own firewood and enjoyed using the fireplace. But we didn’t see any fireplace tools, which would have been helpful.

Also, we didn’t see any instructions for the stove top exhaust fan, the panel just showed “control locked”. But we were unable to unlock.

All in all, my family had a great stay.

What a gem! The home had a spectacular view, open and spacious floor plan, and tons of amenities. The host was very responsive to any need or question. For example, Elizabeth helped with winery recommendations which turned out be some of our favorites. The Hummingway Ranch was perfect for us. We will be back!
